Governor Jay Inslee needs to hear from you in support of the Vancouver Energy terminal.
After a 5-week adjudication hearing this summer, the Washington State Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) is now in the final stages of its review of the project. EFSEC’s upcoming recommendation to Gov. Inslee is a critical point in the process, and then the Governor will have the final say on the proposed terminal.
Vancouver Energy will provide numerous local, regional and national benefits. The project will support more than 1,000 jobs, generate more than $2 billion in economic impact for the region and reduce U.S. dependence on foreign oil. The midcontinent crude oil delivered via Vancouver Energy is also 30 percent less carbon intensive than the average of crude oils used in Washington refineries and thus will be better for the environment.
Please contact Gov. Inslee and recommend that he approve the Vancouver Energy terminal. At the right you will see a form for your contact information and a draft message to Gov. Inslee that can be sent as is or personalized.
We will continue to provide updates as events unfold, so please return to this site periodically for more information and additional opportunities to provide public comments. You can also visit the Vancouver Energy blog for regular updates on the project. Thank you again for your support.
